Tupac’s big heart was apparent when he went on location in Harlem to film Above the Rim. “Tupac loved his people more than anything,” Cassandra Butcher says. “To see him in Harlem, in those communities, it was really remarkable.” He couldn’t just eat in the catering area with all of the crew and see that these people were hungry or see that these people wanted to talk to him. He really connected, and these were his brothers and sisters, and he meant it from his heart, like nothing I’ve seen before.
